AACS recently submitted a response to the Department of Education's invitation for public feedback published in the Federal Register on April 4, 2025. The public comment included the association's stance and asks on the topics of Gainful Employment, Changes in Ownership, Bare Minimum Rule, and more, while encouraging the Department to take steps to eliminate disparities in federal regulations that disproportionately impact proprietary institutions like AACS members.
The AACS public comment reiterated the association's efforts to protect and advocate for our member schools, owners, and students, and thanked the Department for its efforts to streamline and improve the federal student aid experience.
