What You Need To Know On August 30, 2024, the Department announced that it has temporarily suspended reviewing NSLDS Financial Value Transparency and Gainful Employment (FVT/GE) Completers Lists. In the announcement, the Department states, We have newly identified issues with the Completers Lists and FVT/GE Reports based upon feedback and questions raised by the community. We suggest institutions pause reviews of the Completers Lists and use of the FVT/GE Reports as we work to resolve these issues. We will notify the community with an update to this announcement once resolved, and we will review the related reporting deadlines. We appreciate the community’s diligence in identifying issues. The Department originally provided draft FVT/GE Completers Lists to institutions on August 8, 2024. Institutions have a 60-day period to review and correct student information on the draft FVT/GE Completers List, with the correction period closing on Oct. 7, 2024. Why This Is Important It is uncertain whether this delay will have any impact on the FVT/GE reporting requirements. It is noteworthy that in the announcement, the Department stated that it “will review the related reporting deadlines” as a result of this delay.
