Donald Trump Wins Presidential Election
What this means for AACS and its members.
As you have already seen from the news, Donald Trump was elected to become our 47th President. In addition, the U.S. Senate will have a Republican majority. The House of Representatives is still too close to call with several races still undecided.
What does this mean for AACS and its members? We are excited to let you know that we have already begun working with members of Trump’s transition team to ensure that our issues--including Gainful Employment--are part of his first 90 days. We have begun reaching out to our allies in both the House and Senate to seek their assistance in our efforts.
We will be providing our members more information once the House of Representatives is decided. We will also be letting you know how this affects our current legal action against the Department of Education over Gainful Employment.
The next four years will give us the opportunity to go on the offensive and ensure that our sector and schools are provided greater protections in the Higher Education Reauthorization Act. We need everyone to get even more involved in 2025 as AACS continues our work to protect the beauty, barber, and wellness education sector.
